About Nicole

Representing employers and management in labor and employment matters in California state and federal courts, Nicole A. Legrottaglie aggressively defends her clients in a broad range of employment claims, including class actions and single plaintiff claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour litigation.

Additionally, Legrottaglie has significant experience in traditional labor law.  She has effectively represented management in union disputes and has successfully handled unfair labor practice charges and other administrative matters/hearings before the National Labor Relations Board, union grievances, and labor arbitrations.  Legrottaglie counsels unionized employers regarding various aspects of union-management relations and assists non-unionized employers with union campaigns and union avoidance efforts.

Legrottaglie has successfully drafted and argues numerous motions and briefs, ranging from discovery motions to complex dispositive motions in state and federal court.  She has taken a significant number of depositions, prepared key witnesses, conducted investigations, independently handled pre-trial matters, and has facilitated settlement of matters through negotiations and mediation.

In addition to her litigation and traditional labor law practice, Legrottaglie regularly provides preventative counseling to employers of all sizes.  She regularly counsels employers and provides guidance on compliance with state and federal employment laws on matters such as wage and hour issues, workplace policies, practices, and personnel decisions, terminations, and prevention of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
